Our mission is to:</p> <ul><li> Organize and produce periodic film festivals that showcase independent films and filmmakers, and which provide access to such creative activity for the general public; </li><li> Organize and conduct period classes and seminars which encourage amateur video and filmmakers to work with, and learn from, more experienced artists in their field of interest. This may include training in film theory, camera techniques, recording technology and sound and lighting systems; </li><li> Sponsor and produce film symposiums featuring amateur filmmakers, with the emphasis on providing creative experience and promoting their films to the general public; </li><li> Develop an archive of video and film of filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Sept. 27th</li><li> Special guest actress Piper Laurie!<br /></li><li>Special guest curator, Turner Classic Movies' Robert Osborne, will interview Piper Laurie after the showing of "The Hustler"<br /></li><li>Film2880 contestants countdown the top ten ingenious and outrageous shorts</li><li>Talk Movies venue has filmmakers' panel discussions</li><li>Drop-in Theatre is a free continuous-run screening room.
